About

I can’t paint. So I built this instead.

I’m an engineer, not an artist. I can’t paint, I can’t draw, and you would not want to hear me sing. But I wanted to give my girlfriend something artful. Something made, not bought.

So I did the two things I knew how to do. I wrote to people, and I wrote software.

I reached out to her friends and her family and asked for photos of her — from the present all the way back to her childhood. They sent pictures I had never seen. A whole life, arriving a few photos at a time. Then I built the software that assembled every one of them into a single portrait, made entirely from her own memories.

That was the first Mozaicr mosaic. What happened when she saw it stays ours.

She’s my wife now.

(Her mosaic isn’t pictured anywhere on this site. It’s built from her childhood photos, and I’ve grown very attached to my side of the bed.)

Mozaicr exists because I wanted everyone to be able to give the same thing. You’re deciding whether to trust an unfamiliar website with your photo library, so here is what I can promise you:

We don’t use AI. The mosaic is built by matching the colors of your own photos — every square you zoom into is your photography. Your people, your places, your years.

Your photos stay with your cloud provider. We can only ever see the ones you pick, in the provider’s own picker.

The reveal is free. You pay only if you love it.

You probably can’t paint either. You don’t need to. You just need the photos — and the people who have been keeping them for you.

If you have a question about any of it, ask me directly: jordan@mozaicr.com.

If there’s someone whose whole life belongs in one picture, I’d be glad to help you make it.
